2021 Class Information Evening

On the 9th of February at 6:30pm CILA will be offering a free information evening to discuss all the proposed plans for the Irish Language classes 2021. This will be held in the Weston function room of the Canberra Irish Club – 6 Parkinson Street Weston.

Currently, classes are expected to resume on a face-to-face basis but may resume online or a hybrid model if COVID restrictions require. Classes will be offered on Tuesday evenings from 6:00pm for returning students and on Saturday mornings from 11.30 – 1.00pm for beginners.

The beginners class will be taught by Samantha, the middle level will be taught by Colin and the upper level will once more be covered by Maire. The Saturday conversational group has been successful and is also planned to continue. Conor and Sara will be available as relief teachers and to accommodate a secondary beginners class if needed.

Important notes:
Please make sure you attend the information evening. This will give us the opportunity to make sure everyone has a clear understanding of the materials required (textbooks etc), meet with your teachers and fellow students and get a good idea of the format for the new year.

This is a valuable time for you to offer feedback or to ask any questions you might have. Don’t be afraid to ask, odds are if you have a question someone else would like to know too!

If you are feeling at all unwell or are a considered an at risk person we strongly suggest you stay home at this time.
