There will be a one day Irish language school at the Irish Club in Canberra [6 Parkinson St, Weston, ACT] on Saturday 22 March 2025. Mait and Máire Ó Brádaigh, fluent Irish speakers from Galway in the West of Ireland will be our teachers.
Mait and Máire taught at the Bungendore Irish Language school in 2023 and Mait taught at the Summer school in Canberra in 2024. Those of us who have attended either of those events will know what a great opportunity this is.
The school will be an all-day event from 9am to 4pm. There will be 2 classes. An Ard Rang with Mait which will enhance the knowledge of those from the intermediate level while giving sufficient challenge to those who are at the advanced level. The Bun Rang will be taught by Máire and will be for students with less fluency. Máire will include Irish songs in her teaching.
Morning and afternoon tea will be provided. Lunch can be purchased at the Irish Club or nearby.
We hope to have a music and singing session in the evening.
The cost for the day including morning and afternoon tea is $40.
Concession and Student Card holders $30
BYO pens, notebooks etc.
To make for the best learning experience, we will cap class numbers, so first in best dressed.
